RESOLUTION

This Annual General Body Meeting of the P&T Audit officers’/Senior Audit officers’ Association held on 18^th March 2012, notes with deep concern the situation prevailing in various BAOs, due to acute shortage of funds for Travelling Allowance.

It is reported that in most of the BAOs, only meagre amounts are given as TA advances and final claims are pending for months. There have been several cases where audit programmes have been curtailed due to paucity of funds. This situation besides causing serious financial difficulties to touring staff members, also dilutes the efforts of the department in discharging its constitutional obligations.

This meeting urges upon the C&AG of India to take adequate measures so that (a) all TA pending claims are settled in April, 2012 itself and (b) such shortage does not recur in 2012-2013.

This meeting resolves to send this resolution to Hon’ble C&AG of India.

It further resolves to send a copy of this resolution to All India Audit & Accounts Officers’ Association.
